Thinking
About Buying
Jimboomba Real Estate?
If you are thinking about buying a Jimboomba real estate, here's a brief introduction to the place we
call home.
Jimboomba is a small country town about 45 kilometres
from the Queensland capital of Brisbane, and 15 kilometres
from Beaudesert, the hub and administrative center of the Beaudesert
shire.
Owning and living on a piece of Jimboomba real estate offers a quite rural
residential lifestyle with lot sizes ranging from 1000
square meter lots in the township itself to 1 acre, 2.5
acre, 5 acre, 10 acre and larger lot sizes further out
into the countryside.
There are also many farms covering hundreds or even
thousands of hectares available for purchase, however
these are most likely further south towards Boonah or
other rural townships.
Jimboomba real estate prices have boomed along with the
remainder of South East Queensland over the past 5 years.
However if you have a long term view (which of course is
necessary when investing in real estate) prices still offer
great value.
Many Jimboomba real estate owners have seen massive gains
in their holdings recently, and while the market has
cooled, there are still some great buys.
Building activity is still going on at a very high level and many people are only just discovering the rural lifestyle that Jimboomba offers.
We purchased our 5.5 acre Jimboomba real estate in 1990,
built a home and moved in during 1994. Here's the view
from our front yard...
We have a hilltop block from where we can see as far as
Brisbane on a clear day (it's 45 k's away though :-)
and our neighbours are just far enough away so that we
have a great lifestyle with peace and quite to enjoy.
Jimboomba offers a good range of shopping
facilities (or there's also Beaudesert with it's shopping centers a few kilometres away), a world
class 18 hole Golf course operated by Hill's International
School, and a multitude of educational, sporting and leisure
activities covering everything you'll ever need.
It's close enough to the city for commuters to
comfortably work there (and many locals do work in Brisbane), but far enough away to enable you to unwind when you get home.
It offers a welcome break
from the hustle and bustle of the working world, and many
people are coming here for the quality of life Jimboomba
offers.
If you are considering buying Jimboomba real estate for
the lifestyle it offers, you really can't go wrong.
And of course, every property needs a shed...here's
mine. It's amazing how much junk you can accumulate when
you have a big shed to store it in :-)
However, you must remember that your commuting times
will be longer if you have to work in the city, and with
the cost of fuel and general wear and tear on your
vehicles, that can add up.
And if you don't like nature or peace and quiet, then
Jimboomba probably isn't for you.
I hope this brief introduction has helped you in your
search for Jimboomba real estate.
If you have any questions or were wondering which local real estate agents you can trust (you can't be too careful these days,
we were nearly caught...) or anything else about living
and buying a real estate in Jimboomba, please let me know by
using the contact
form and I'll be happy to help.
Looking forward to meeting you if you move to
Jimboomba,
Warmly,
P.S. The population
of the Beaudesert shire is expected to grow by 70,000
people over the next 50 years and Jimboomba
is leading the charge, so if you want to get a larger
block away from the masses, now's the time to
act.
